Caral the Oldest Civilization of America
Caral is the most important settlement of one of the world’s earliest civilizations, as old as those of Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, and China. Close to forty-two radiocarbon dating tests confirm its age, founded somewhere between 3000 and 2000 B.C. It shows signs of occupation up to and around the years 1000 and 800 B.C. Caral-Supe is the first expression in the Americas of a Pre-Ceramic urban settlement, with large scale architecture found on an area greater than 10 hectares.

Lomas of Lachay National Reserve
The Lomas de Lachay is a national reserve in the foothills of the Huaral Province in Lima. The reserve is located 105 km north from Lima and features a unique mist-fed ecosystem of wild plant and animal species. The National Reserve of Lachay expands across an area of 520.7 square kilometres.

Albuferas de Medio Mundo

Marcahuasi Rock Forest
The plateau of Marcahuasi is characterized for its anthropomorphic and zoomorphic rock shapes. This rock forest is to 3.657 masl and occupies near 4 km square of surface. It was said that Marcahuasi was ancient, beyond living memory, existing before the Incas, and the pre-Incas. It was related that there were heads and faces of human beings of different races, both male and female, and animal figures unknown on this continent.
